MCITP - Microsoft Certified IT Professional

Description

The MCITP is an umbrella certification that contains 4 sub-certifications. This is to allow the owner to demonstrates that they are an expert in one of the following categories:

  1. IT Professional: Database Developer;
  2. IT Professional: Database Administrator;
  3. IT Professional: Business Intelligence Developer.

  1. IT Professional: Database Developer:

  2. This certification demonstrates that the owner has the abilities needed to design a stable and secure database solution using the Microsoft SQL Server 2005.

  3. IT Professional: Database Administrator

  4. This certification demonstrates that the owner has the ability to install, manage and maintain databases in Microsoft SQL Server 2005.

  5. IT Professional: Business Intelligence Developer

  6. This certification demonstrates that the owner has the ability to use Microsoft SQL Server 2005 to design analysis solutions and data transformations.

Certification Criteria

Database Developer:
Individuals wanting to be certified as an MCITP Database Developer need to first complete the requirement for the MCTS SQL Server 2005 credential. Additionally, the individual must pass two exams related to designing and optimizing Microsoft SQL Server 2005.

Database Administrator:
Individuals wanting to be certified as an MCITP Database Administrator need to first complete the requirement for the MCTS SQL Server 2005 credential. Additionally, the individual must pass two exams related to designing a Database Server infrastructure and optimizing and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server 2005.

Business Intelligence Developer:
Individuals wanting to be certified as a MCITP Business Intelligence Developer must first complete the requirement for the MCTS: SQL Server 2005 Business Intelligence certification . After completion of this requirement, the individual must pass one exam related to the designing of Business Intelligence Solutions using Microsoft SQL Server 2005.
