MOS - Microsoft Office Specialist
Description
The MOS is a certification that demonstrates that the owner has the skills and knowledge to support Microsoft Office desktop productivity programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Access and Project.

Discussion
The MOS certification has four levels of certification which are the Specialist certification, the Expert certification, the Master certification and the Master Instructor certification.
Certification tracks are offered for Office 2003, Office XP and Office 2000 as well as Project 2002 and Project 2000.
Certification Criteria
To become certified as a Microsoft Office Specialist in a specific track, the following requirements must be met depending on the track and the certification level:
Office 2003 Track:
Specialist: Individual must pass any one of the Specialist exams
Expert: Individuals must pass any one of the Expert exams.
Master: Individuals must pass three required exams and one elective.
Office XP Track:
Specialist: Individual must pass any one of the Specialist exams
Expert: Individuals must pass any one of the Expert exams.
Master: Individuals must pass three required exams and one elective.
Office 2000 Track:
Specialist: Individual must pass any one of the Specialist exams
Expert: Individuals must pass any one of the Expert exams.
Master: Individuals must pass three required exams and one elective.
