MCTS - Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist
Description
The MCTS is an umbrella certification that contains 17 sub-certifications. This is to allow the owner to demonstrate that they are an expert in one of the following categories:

- Technology Specialist: .NET Framework 2.0 Windows Applications
This certification demonstrates that the owner has proven their skills and knowledge of Windows Forms technology as well as data access in Windows Applications.
- Technology Specialist: .NET Framework 2.0 Distributed Applications
This certification demonstrates that the owner has proven their skills and knowledge of distributed applications such as Enterprise Services and Message Queuing technologies.
- Technology Specialist: SQL Server 2005
This certification demonstrates that the owner has proven their skills and knowledge of SQL Server as well as the SQL language.
- Technology Specialist: SQL Server 2005 Business Intelligence
This certification demonstrates that the owner has proven their abilities to design, implement and maintain business intelligence solutions.
- Technology Specialist: BizTalk Server 2006
This certification demonstrates that the owner has proven their skills and knowledge of distributed applications using the BizTalk Server.
- Technology Specialist: Microsoft Office Live Communications Server 2005
This certification demonstrates that the owner has proven their skills and knowledge of Live Communications Server.
